Plan sizes
Essentials: $150 / month
Updates, monitoring, patches, and small content tweaks. Right for marketing sites and brand sites that don’t change often.
Standard: $400 / month
Essentials plus a few hours of dev work each month for small features and improvements. Right for sites and tools that need to keep moving.
Custom retainer: from $1,500 / month
For ongoing feature work on web apps and custom builds. Scoped to your roadmap, billed monthly, paused or scaled up as needed.
Why have one
Sites and web apps aren’t finished when they launch. Frameworks update, browsers ship new defaults, dependencies get security patches, hosting providers change. A care plan keeps everything current without you having to track it or panic when something breaks.
It also means when something does go wrong, you’re not starting from a cold call with a stranger. You’re emailing the person who built it.
Frequently asked questions
What's included in a care plan?
Software and dependency updates, security patches, uptime monitoring, small content and copy changes, bug fixes, hosting management, and a quarterly check-in. Plans scale up if you also need ongoing feature work.
Do I need a care plan if you built the site?
Not required, but recommended for production sites. The web changes constantly: frameworks update, dependencies have security patches, browsers ship new defaults, hosting providers change pricing. A care plan keeps everything current without you needing to track it.
Can you take over a site that someone else built?
Sometimes. I'll audit it first to make sure it's a codebase I can responsibly maintain. If it's a custom build on a modern stack (Next.js, React, Node, Python), usually yes. If it's a WordPress site held together by 40 plugins, probably not. I'll point you to someone who specializes.
What's not included?
Major redesigns, new feature builds, and large content overhauls aren't included. Those are scoped separately. The care plan is for ongoing maintenance and small changes, not new project work.
How fast do you respond to issues?
Same business day for site-down or critical bugs. 1–2 business days for non-urgent requests. If your site is fully down on a weekend I'll look at it. I built it; I'm not going to leave you stranded.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Care plans are month-to-month. No annual contracts, no cancellation fees. If the site is in good shape and you want to pause, that's fine.
